Moving from Permanent to Contract world

I am working as a Permanent employee for a Financial company in UK for almost 3 years and my total experience as permanent Java professional is 7 years.

My question is, is it difficult to get a Contract job since i am a permanent employee?

I worked as a contractor for 1 year in UK for another Financial company before joining as a permanent employee in my current company.

I am now on Notice period in my current company, since I have resigned recently due to some personal reasons.

The reason for planning to contract is to earn more. I have tested the market for my skills and it seems to be Well now.

My questions:
1. Since I moved from contract to permanent will the agency guys consider me again for contract roles?

2. What is bob able skill set means?

1. It might put them off to be honest. If they have an option of trying to place an experienced contractor or a newbie, they'll go for the experience. You could get everything set up in advance, that might help.

2. It's skill set which is easily fulled by cheap labor brought in from India under the ICT process.

BTW: You're leaving a permie job because of personal issues? Don't even think about considering to mention this to an agent.

BTW BTW: If you have difficulties managing working relationships contracting will not be for you and you should consider another permie job.

1) Who knows. Send them you CV ring them up and see if they submit you to the client.

2) Anything that can be off[shored i.e. anything that doesn't require sitting in the office of the end client.

My guess is that either he is applying for jobs and agents aren't ringing or agents are ringing but it doesn't progress any further and he wants to know why?

Personally I've never had a problem but I'm very old school. Find job, submit appropriate cv, chase agent to ensure name is on list. then move on to the next job.
