HP - 20% Reduction accross the board

Just had a phone call from the agent, to say that HP are imposing a 20% contractor rate reduction accross the board in EMEA through all agencies.

Anyone else been in HP and heard such news? Talking to a few contractor colleagues and they have heard zilch!

    Cheers,

    Fin

    I haven't heard anything...

    What agency are you with?

Maybe its just a nice margin increase for the agent. I suspect not though.

I feel so lucky only having a 10% cut.

Manpower, and interestingly a colleague who works through them has had no communication, how very strange

              Update, resolved hopefully!

Awaiting confirmation, but stems from the fact that since joining HP, my role has dramtically changed, but my pay grade had notbeen upgraded, and this had been picked up from within the company as being 'overpaid', hence request to realign daily rate!

              Thanks for responses,

              Fin

So hang on... you agreed a price for your time and they mis-used you and waisted their own money. So now because they are not using you for what they agreed they want to reduce your contract?
