There is also a small chance they want to check to see if your CV is upto date, many people fire a CV onto jobsite and just leave it on there

Or the job boards leave it there.

When you up load your CV onto some sites it ends up also on other sites in the site's family. This means that while you may have removed your CV from the one original site it can take a while for it to be removed from the others. 7

One particular Portsmouth based "job site" has about 50 "family" sites which are set up so that they all seem to be different websites but are in fact run by the same organisation. Friends have worked there on projects before.

I posted my resume on Monster, and i have been getting more calls from agencies. All we need is to have a good marketable resume, that is what recruiters like. The best way is to deal with a agency to show value, they have contacts and will make calls if there is a chance that can be placed as per resume. I feel that, not using them will reduce chances in finding any employment in this economy drastically from experience in the past.

Mod note: I've removed your URL for a recruitment agency, hope that's alright...

What a load of old twaddle. I got my last contract through networking and LinkedIn - you guys had better sharpen up your acts and stop looking like second hand car salesmen (and be thankful that the Indian RC's appear worse than you do at the moment).

Start being a bit more professional with your attitude and contracts (see http://forums.contractoruk.com/accou...ml#post1524950) and everyone would be a winner.

Why do you have to tell everyone that you've given rep?

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to northernladuk again.

You have to be careful, NLUK is a rep collector whore. He loves those reps.
