Prince2 via e-Learning?

I'd have a look around as there are some good deals available on the face-to-face training. It could be cost-effective when you factor in the cost of the training materials, Prince2 manual and exam fees e.g. these people

Thanks - I should have mentioned that I did the course 5 years ago but didn't sit th e exam due to illness. Its changed a bit since I did the course. I've found a few mock exams online and seem to be achieving over 50% consistently. As a contractor I don't want to take time off work unless crucial. I think if I had some resources to boost my knowledge I would be able to do the exam with confidence.

To be honest with Prince Foundation you need to learn how to pass the exam and that is it. I don't think there was much value in trying to learn the content and apply it. I tried the online stuff and then just ended up swallowing the cost and doing the full thing face to face in one go. Much easier.

Foundation is about as much use as a chocolate firegaurd and I didn't see many roles asking for foundation. Even if they had I would have been trounced by people with Practitioner so I would say do both if you are going to get any value out of it.

You still have to take the time off and pay for the exams with a chance of failing remember

Oh OK. Taking time off work adds to the cost quite a bit! Didn't do it myself but my source says Prince2 2009 is quite different. PM me if you've got any questions about what the exam is like, tips etc. and I'll get the answers for you.

I did my original practitioner course 5+ years ago in a classroom.

Just done my recertification online via ILX. I recommend it as it's the best online course I've seenfor Prince2.

Well I think it is a good idea to use the eLearning. I did mine with these guys: PRINCE2 elearning. I chose them because it costs less and the guys there are helpful in answering all my questions.

Thanks - very helpful. Although I'm now wondering if its actually cheaper to just do it face to face as by the time exam fees are added the cost goes up with the e-learning option.
