    AWR to be watered down?

David Cameron moves to water down new EU job laws - Telegraph

It seems Cameron is considering making some last minute changes to the AWR - surely this is too late now?
"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. It's a joke. A week after the AWR was announced Client Co who had 400 agency temps (not contractors) had legal advise telling them how to get around it. It really is a joke.

The government have only just woken up to how much it will screw the economy which is already screwed.

Also they are becoming more aware that we are interpreting European Directives to our detriment.

Agreed. It seems to be a complete and utter shambles. Perhaps they have just figured out that it will sound the death knell for IR35 (you will either be genuinely in business or you will have employee rights from the agency) and they are now tulipting bricks.
