any idea what is happening to the application support jobs in the banking and finance industry in London? I have appeared for interviews in different bulge bracket banks and got a positive note saying the managers are interested to hire but they were not able to get the headcount approvals completed from their top management.. so far i got the same answer from 3 different banks in last 2 months (american & european)...its upsetting.. anyone having similar experience like me?

We only had one UK-based guy left doing this. He's just been given his marching orders. Top 5 IB, here.nomadd liked this post -
I was getting that 3 times a week let alone 2 months when I was looking last so you are doing ok. It is the same in any industry sector as well not just banking so have to take it as the way it is and keep banging away.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!Comment

This is going the same way as support and it isn't going to get better. You need to move up the 'value chain', managing the external resources etc.
Good luck....Comment
