    Best Fishing Email Yet

    Just received an email:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I hope you are well.

We have spoken in the past about positions and now I would like to see if you would be interested in helping me.

I am looking to find out who is currently hiring at new companies that you may have heard of, or possibly where you have Interviewed and you did not receive the opportunity.

For any names of companies you can give me and potentially Line Managers Names, If I can work a position and fill it I will give you £300-£500.

I would really appreciate your help if you have any Information you can pass my way.

    Regards,

    Xxxxx xxxxx

At least it's honest... certainly more honest than the "two references" tired old scam.

Isn't that the exact opposite if fishing?

It's asking outright for information, no pretence whatsoever.

I would concur. Quite refreshingly straight tbh

except for the bit where he says he'll pay money. I bet he's got no intention of doing that.

And using your logic, I bet you're one of the rioters currently ruining our country.

                  You're not you say?

Oh....well...I bet you have every intention of joining in tonight.

It absolutely baffles me how some peoples minds work......

I agree, I would happily respond to an honest request like that, and in fact it would make sense for my business, why should I limit myself to one revenue stream when I have a network of contacts that could earn me more and their needs would also be met.
