    Business Services - Experian UK

    Equifax Commerical Credit Services

Trust the names you've heard of. Experian / Equifax are good.

What is the risk to you though? There is a chance you might get paid to being absolutely certain you won't get paid on the bench?

Have you weighed these up? What is the biggest loss you are willing to take? Work for 30 days and then have some work getting your cash or none at all? I guess it depends greatly on personal circumstance as you might get a role next week etc.

Who is the agent? Why not put their name here and see if people have had experiences or can look further for you?

Its a sensible thing to do if you don't know the agency and are likely to have several thousand pounds of your cash in their bank account for any time. Are you a PCG member? Don't forget that PCG members get discounts from Checksure for these sort of checks.

I used checksure, the website looks amateur and the customer service number cant get through on, is checksure reliable ?

Having a credit check done doesn't mean bugger all in my mind and probably won't offer you any guarantees - businesses still collapse without any obvious warning signs.

If you are worried that the agency may go out of business then why not join the PCG which will sort you out with Agency failure and default insurance. Job done, sleep easy.

I got a subscription to www.creditfocus.co.uk with my business account - might be worth a look.
