So how long does it take for you to get started?

Started a new role on Monday, the job in hand is not something I would class as my speciality (meaning I need to refresh on what I'm doing) and the systems/processes related to the task are pretty complexed. 4 days in I've read much and started to investigate but still not produced anything tangible! I do feel my head will explode soon though...

How long does it take for others to get started and producing what clientco has asked for? Is this quetion far too close to "how long is a piece of string?".

On my current role about 5 minutes and that was only because I needed to get a coffee first.

I was here for 3 years before so knew the role inside out, and the login could wait as I was immediatlely sat at other users machines.
