I live close to Gatwick Airport, so anywhere that has regular convenient flights is OK with me.

I worked in Edinburgh last year, came home on Friday, back up on a Sunday night, lived in a lovely shared apartment I found on SpareRoom. It was great!

60-90 minutes is my maximum daily commute

Well...! From base-camp Berkshire I can cover a good healthy area in a 3.5 hour travelling radius - the only places which fall outside of my imaginary commuting circle are places I consider to be cack!

trust the trip durations from google map?

How much should I add to durations that are suggested on googlemaps? It seems they assume you are driving on a sunday morning.

          Iceland.

          Or America.

          Done both.

Singapore, 4 month stint was the furthest for me

currently I'm working in Sweden and living in Cologne so that's a 1hr train to the airport, 1.5hr flight and 1hr train the other end. All in it adds up to around 5-5.5hrs depending on flight and train times. Luckily it's just 3 days away every other week so it's not so bad and I get to work from home the rest of the time.

              As long as it takes.

You might need to provide some extra information for a more meaningful answer, though.

For the right rate, and the right role, I'll consider anywhere, really.

I had to work in Slough once, which was pretty grim though.

                  I commute

every week from Glasgow to Amsterdam on the 6am Monday Flight, then mid week I fly to London then back to glasgow on a friday night.

                  114 flights last year

what i meant was can trip durations between point A and point B suggested by googlemaps be trusted for peak-hour commute? I am desperately looking for a job change and the commute hrs matter a lot to me as I have a young family to come home to.Some googlemaps trip durations, e.g., a 30 mile commute in 40 mins doesn't sound realistic to me for peak hr commute.

I used to consider anywhere, but since having kids I tend to stick within 1 - 1.5 hours (ie. 2 - 3 hours) per day drive. Have not done the weekly B&B/Hotel thing since 2006.
