OK this probably will come as no surprise to anyone who has been in the game for a while but the sheer cheek of this guy got me. Yes I know I shouldnt have bothered responding but I had a moment of weakness :

    My response :

    His response back:

Thank you for wasting your time with a lengthy response which
generated great laughter throughout the office, your joke of an email
definitely compensated for the bad weather!

Please keep my details on file, I would love to receive another
hilarious rant from a jumped up geek who is part of a community which
put just over £85,000 in my back pocket last year and paid for my Audi
TT AND 4 week travelling trip across the USA.

Thank you again Terra, thank you for making a ?parasite? feel better about himself and for also making yourself look like an absolute mug with empty insults to a successful 19 year old you know nothing about
    - You've made my day!

P.S - You've just pissed off a VERY well connected "Snake". Let's see
how easy it is for you to pick up your next contract.

    Have a great week

I would agree but this goes beyond spam as they are targetting people with this nonsense. Frankly I am more naffed off as naive IT newbies fall for it, give up my details, and then I get hounded by these idiots relentlessly trying to get onto my prefferred supplier list. I've noticed they are not as insulting when they are trying to get their foot in the door with you as a hiring manager rather than a recruit.

Oh and if anyone was wondering GlobalTalentSearch.co.uk is a empty website front with a fake address. This guy actually works for ConSol Partners in London who own the domain.

Blimey. I am impressed with the audacity of the first email.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

              Just a front

Global Talent Search (GTS) is just a front its actually run by ConSol | Connecting the Next Generation. As mentioned the address is bogus on the gts site. A whois is and a quick google soon linked up the dots. Oh and the guys name is <mod snip> incase you have the misfortune to come across him.

Mod Note: no naming individuals please, let's just leave their deeds on the board

Yes. In exactly the same way as he really pays £1000 for every convertible lead he gets, he really gets £85,000.

Indeed, both are as likely as me marrying Pippa Middleton next week.

Agents have lost the plot in recent years, they seem to have grown way out proportion compared to the clients and contractors they are supposed to represent (neither of which are getting good value). Just look at how many agents are listed in the Jobserve recruiter directory.

One piece of legislation change and they're all fecked, I want to see fee transparency as it pisses me off knowing how much they are taking the piss. It certainly pissed the perm boss off too when we discussed the disparity between what they pay and what the contractor gets.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
