    Rare skill for immigration

Have been reading some good career discussions here. Thought I might pop a Q that has been plaguing me. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    MY PROFILE:

    Age:40

    Education:
    - XII years from a top school (80%+ in all years)
    - Did two IT programming diplomas (3 years total). "Not a proper Bachelor's degree"
    - Currently about to complete Zend PhP Certification.

    CAREER:

    - Worked as a Marketing Manager for an MNC (2 years)
    - Worked as a Branch head for an Indian IT giant (2 years)
    - Started my own IT company, created an overseas customer base and am still the CEO (13 years).

    SKILL SET:

    - Marketing and Customer Management: Acquire and Manage international clients
    - Staff management: Manage teams of web application developers, SEOs and designers
    - Business Strategy, diversification and growth
    - Project Management: Supervise building of online tools and complex web-applications
    - Expert at online marketing, reputation and online brand management, etc. Have done programming and love it, but it is not my main job now.

    TARGET

To work in UK, Canada or USA

    QUERIES:

My IT experience and skill set is varied, so I can handle many responsible positions.

    1. What job profile in the IT industry of US or Canada will fit my profile best? For example, Business Analyst, Application Development Manager, Operations / IT Manager etc.

    2. I doubt it, but is there a chance to get a job abroad on the basis of my diplomas and vast experience but without a Bachelor's degree?

    3. I have admits from a couple of top UK universities for MBA but the PSW has been canceled. If I finish the MBA at the top of my class, and with the experience I have, how much chance do I have of getting a job in UK after completion?

    4. In case there is little chance of getting a job after the MBA, I am willing to acquire an important RARE skill / degree from India and apply later. Please suggest what rare skill I can acquire, to enhance my chances of getting a responsible position abroad? For example, PMP to back my PhP-MySQl experience, SAP that requires business acumen as well and builds upon my existing strength, Java, .Net etc.

Not a single example of the work that you have done, no achievements. who wants a "CEO" of his own business unless it is proved that the business is a success

So that's what you have to push, what you've achieved and what you can give to clients.

If the degree is the thing that's holding you back then go and get one.

If you haven't got your degree by the time you are 30 then you've already missed that boat.

Not necessarily. In the context of immigration, sometimes a degree is irrelevant for the work you will do, but required by the immigration authorities for the visa that you will need. Not that that was the OP's question, but it is relevant.

Dont waste your time, they are worthless anyway. Especially now days.

Also forget the UK, a lot of people here want to get out, hence my profile name.

That's complete bullsh*t. I didn't get my Degree until I was in my early 30's via the Open Uni. Am doing reasonably well. Am now working towards my Masters in order to stand out from the crowd. Don't associate age with qualifications.

Depends on what you want to do. Do you want to do technical or non-technical work? You seem to have done both kinds of work. Rather than going for a specific position (what kind of manager or analyst), you would benefit from researching sites like JobServe and searching for skillset required for IT Manager etc, and see what suits you best. JUst get your resume out there on Jobserve under IT manager, and see how many calls you get from agents. Personally, I feel that rather than going for MBA, try to find out what you can get with what you currently have as part of your experience. More importantly, do you have the required visa to enter UK?
On a different note, the market conditions in UK are not that great in IT sector IMO. Many companies are going for £30-40k permies instead of hiring contractors. But thats my personal opinion, and not meant to discourage you
                    Good luck!
I am Brad. I do more than the needful and drive the market rates up by not bobbing my head.
