Did someone leave Barclays and join Standard Life?
46 week rule at the bank I'm at here in sunny Chester Business Park...!
And on the eighth day God said, "Okay, Murphy, you're in charge!"

      'fraid its all true.

I've just done my first week at Radders (what a place by the way!) and am in the same boat. 6 months, no notice but can be potted whenever.

      Absolutely loving it here though

          Ditto the above

Has anybody else experienced this sort of thing with Barclays ?
I'm currently at Barclays, on my third stint, but have always been London based. The contract terms are standard and have been for years. As others have said, if you have a good relationship with the people you're working with notice isn't an issue. However if the project goes tango uniform or you screw up then you'll be out on your ear. Which is to be expected - you're a contractor after all.

To be honest, isn't a no-notice contract a good indicator for IR35? No permie would get those terms. My contract is also no-notice on my side, there's an exemption clause that removes the 4 week/1 month notice period.

You got fired for sexual harassment?

You jacked off at your desk?

                  You stalked loads of women?

                  Am I close?

'Barclays Bonk' was the headline on the front page of The Sun as 2 people got caught on CCTV shagging on the tennis courts after a Barclays do...

...and you wonder why I loved working there... Totty-tastic

What's it like now there at Radbroke? Some people said it's gone down hill now and all the contractors are of a 'heads down and get on with it' mentality...

I'd still love to go back, though I doubt it'll be as good as last time having accumulated some "wife and kids" baggage now
