    Materials Analyst role. And more besides.

    Just found this contract on a search based on SQL. Is it me or do the requirements seem rather extensive and also a rather confusing mix? What kind of rate would readers suggest as only market rate is quoted?

    Key responsibilities;

    Maintain the materials catalogue
    Ensure timely flow of conforming materials with stock holding minimised.
    Monitor and maximise system attributes to enhance service levels
    Work as part of team to deliver maximum team benefits.
    Experience of planning and procuring spares would be a benefit.
    Skill with spreadsheets, databases and reports, knowledge of spares activity within a supply chain or operational department.
    SQL & T.SQL - create databases, write queries, and write procedures, set-up jobs
    C Sharp - develop windows applications and web services
    ccess - SQL and Visual Basic for applications.

      What's confusing about it? It's a procurement / stock control data maintenance role probably off a system like SAP/IFS. Looks straight forward to me. Probably £250-£350 p/d

      Maximo, as well. So will be an asset / work order type thing. Plus Cognos as well.

      Still only £250-£350. I've got all of the above, plus the Maximo & Cognos. I'd want more than £350. Thanks for this BTW.

        Its east yorkshire so they'll probably complain if you quote £250. Plus its Maximo and if its like any of the other systems I've seen the data quality will be real tulip.

          I've just designed & implemented a Maximo datawarehouse. All singing all dancing.

          Just testing it now.

          I hate ragged hierarchies!
