Yawn.... this bench is bl00dy uncomfortable

    2.5 weeks on the bench.

I know that ain't an age considering some people's misfortune but it feels like forever.

Couple of hours each morning doing the Jobserve, Technojobs, ring agents etc..., teaching myself C# after that, slow but sure I would say.

Very frustrating as loads of jobs want C# plus my skillset, but I'm not up with the C# yet.

At least the house is looking spick and span.
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

I'm 2 1/2 months now having had my role offered before Xmas subsequently withdrawn. However have an interview next week so fingers crossed. Have also been able to do some decorating, sort out the garage, other bits and pieces around the house and not fall out withthe wife too much...

    Good luck to you.

You were working on Wednesday last week, so that's only a week and a day.

Why have you no C# skills? Are you a VB developer, or pure client side, or something?

I wish I was. I had a year where I just worked 5 - 10 days a month, it was heaven. Now Im working all the time, getting lots of money in but quality of life is poor.

Going back to a previous client, just waiting for them to finalise the contracts etc... Should be hearing this week.

Not sure how agency works, as I have basically gone direct.

Heard they work through Comsys, is this some agency or an internal recruitment francise? Any one know?

Same. It never rains but pours.

One of the hazards of contracting. Never consistent.

Good luck all though Market for IT is looking good for 2011 .
