Do British citizens require a visa to work in Switzerland?

I'm looking at some job sites which ask to the effect: "Do you require a visa to work in this country?". I got thinking: I'm a British citizen but Switzerland is not in the EU. I've been putting 'Yes' but now I'm beginning to wonder whether Switzerland's status in the EEC entitles free-movement of Brits to work there and vice versa. Does anyone know if this is correct? They're not still in the old days of requiring a work visa for specific cantons are they?!

AFAIK: technically you do but the only hoop you'll have to jump through is proving that you are from a member EU country

You don't need a visa, just a residency permit, which is automatic when you have a contract. The visa's are required for non EU -EEC citizens.
