    Pray for me...

I've just accepted a permy role.

The countdown has begun, I've got 1 week to find something or I'm going to have to turn up on the agreed start date.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

This instead of the Manpower gig?

Well done anyway, been permie a few times - it can be short term if you wish. At least you're immediate money worries are over and you can have some sort of a life again.

WHS. Treat it like a three month contract, since thats generally what your probabtion period will be. Any time up till then you can legitimately jump ship if you get a better offer.

Forgive him father for he has sinned.

Seriously, you'll be stoked that you are back in a working environment, the first few weeks will fly by.

Congrats and just think of the money.

You're not our new Prime Minister, are you?

But seriously, all the best in the new job. Remember, you did say it was for one of the "big players" in the field, so forget that it's permie, and concentrate on it being a good addition to your cv. Next contract maybe 6-12 months away, but that'll pass quickly. Then onwards and upwards!
