What are the peak and trough months for contract jobs? What about a graph which can guide contractors. For example, the graph will show that April and December are good months to be contract hunting or negotiating a pay raise. Whereas in other months it may be good to just lie low.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

And the point of this would be? You have more or less answered it yourself. There are too many factors for this to be of any use and so what if there is a peak or trough, what are you going to do, not apply for jobs until there is a peak or something??
Anyway, the funny thing is what you are looking for may actually exist. I believe jobswerve do stats on number of roles advertised which has been discussed/linked somewhere else'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!
