    Hi

Does anyone know or have experience of what can happen now?

Have you already completed the one-time portal details?

It has been known by "some" to have taken up to 14 months before portal access even granted...so much for SLA's!

Hiya matey, I was reading somewhere that a bunch of new-start sailors were having a long wait at the moment for SC. I've just entered my 7th week waiting. Job starts in a month and don't wanna be escorted all the time.

          Fingers crossed lad.

Hey just out of interest, has anyone had experience of being yellow badged on a site? Are you fairly autonomous?

              Hi everyone

I have to fill in this SC form, and I'm just wondering how specific I need to be in somethings.

I understand from what I've read that they want you to be as honest as possible, but for some things like when I moved into my current house, it was about 25 years ago and I was a child. I have no idea what the exact date was.

Also I have an English mother and Spanish father, but I have an English passport and have never held a Spanish passport. Do I need to specify that I am a Spanish citizen?

              Thanks

You need to answer everything that they ask you, and don't make things up. Stick to the facts. Where you don't have an answer, such as the exact date (moving details from 25 years ago - I am not sure that they ask for those details, but you are usually able to use an explanatory?).

There is no such thing as an English Passport (unless you bought on one the Internet).

For the house move just give them your best guess. They will be cross checking your answers anyway and as long as it's in the right ball park (correct month/year) it
                  won't be an issue.

Are you a Spanish citizen or not? If you are, declare it, if you are not, don't. The passport you hold is irrelevant. It's a British passport btw. No such thing as an English passport.

They will ask your parents nationality anyway.

Am I right in assuming that if the status of my SC Clearance form is 'In Progress' meaning my sponsor has submitted details on their end that my BPSS check has passed?

                      Probably. Ask the vetting officer.
