Does there exist the equivalent of the CUK forum...for agents?

...would love to get onto that and listen in.

There was a man on the radio talking about spider web material and its physical properties. The presenter said:

"So why not just farm spiders and gather the webs?"

Scientist: "Because spiders are predatory carnivores. Put a few hundred in a box and before long you have just one, rather large, spider."

An agents' forum would be like a shark love-in. And would you let a shark go down on you?

A little off topic but I have been wondering recently, usually, if a job that fits my skillset comes up, I get emails/calls from maybe four or five agencies all punting the same role. Is there a kind of trade only bulletin that pimps subscribe to and that clients post jobs to?

        there is / was computercontractor.net

Not sure if it's still going (and it's always been on the ban list here at work)

          I typed in

          "computer" "contractor" ".net"

and it's replaced it with lamesitealert.com

            There's loads of different forums.

There's alot of LinkedIn groups and discussions around the recruitment sector - the debates can get pretty heated, but actually there's alot of value in sharing views and arguing about the best and worst way of doing things.

There's also the job boards. Now those of us who know our market, can fairly quickly work out from our company profiling and project mapping, where someone is advertising a role from a specific business. For example, If I see travel business, luton I can normally narrow that down to a couple of people - then its just a case of speaking to people you know, and lineing the pieces up.

In terms of ContractorUK though - nothing the same as far as I know?

I had a look for the same thing once, wondered what they thought of us lot.

              There's this; it's a bit crap though.

I can direct you to an excellent forum for agents if you like? One of the leaders in the field of agent forums, with a really good international reputation and brand. You're interested, yeah? Great! Well, if you can just send me three references first then I'll get the link across to you straight away.

UKRecruiter has a forum which I have seen - but it has minimal activity level so nothing compared to CUK.

Happily....I expect them from you, you have a right to expect them from me.....

"TAV was very effective in securing an excellent assignment for me which closely matched my skills. He understood the needs of the client and we formed a strong working relationship throughout the duration of the long engagement"

“TAV has found me some of my best ever people. He listens to what you want and works very, very hard to meet your requirements. He has shown great judgement in candidate selection and has saved me days of work in creating my shortlists. He strikes a good balance between looking after his clients and still presenting value to the customer. He is good company, trustworthy and reliable.”

"TAV has provided me with excellent recruitment advice and assistance on a number of occasions. He has selected good quality candidates for interview and taken time to understand the requirements resulting in successful appointments. TAV is always professional, knowledgeable a pleasure to work with. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.”

And yes, these are all genuine recommendations, and yes, I have changed references to my real name on them.

                    Now....about that excellent forum......
