    Ah, that's why you spend time here.

    I'm fairly sure that when I were a member, in the early 00s, we regularly beat up the naive, and were quite robust with newbies. Maybe things have changed since 2006.
    Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

          TBH, I find Shout99 a friggin' awful website and the way that the posts are threaded is dreadful.

              Maybe removing "Not worth listening to" alongside newbies names might be a start to making things a bit friendlier. Or maybe Im just feeling sensitive with this hangover...

                Some years ago, someone suggested a hierarchy of posters based on other CUK members, e.g.

                newbies = milan
                > 5k posts = AtW

                and something in between.

                Looking at those two extremes, I would guess that AtW suggested it

                  This forum is certainly not the place for people that feel sensitive.

                  In the olden days, posts in the Light Relief forum were included in post counts so it was possible to rise above the level of Not worth listening to very quickly without any effort to be serious.

                  Nowadays I am afraid, you will need to contribute twenty (? I think) quality posts demonstrating your superior levels of insight and analytical skills in any of the other forums before you can be taken seriously.

                  Have a look in the General forum for examples of what are considered quality posts around here.
