'HO'? Nobody calls them 'HO'. They are known within various market sectors and globally as 'UKHO'. That was even obvious from the OP's post and the subsequent handbagging.

I don't believe you're real. I reckon you're a sad permie on here to wind us up.
I assume we're talking about the Home Office here - Id not call them UKHO personally...but then, I'm just a pimp, what do I know.

I am indeed a permie. I am permanently employed as Senior Level Recruitment consultant. <sigh>

I suggest you read posts 4, 5, and 6 in this thread - it is clear from reading them that the OP was not referring to the Home Office.

I wouldn't have picked Capita as the main supplier to the Home Office, FWIW - I would have said Parity, B&C or Sand who were the main suppliers when I was contracting there for three years.

Maybe my arrangement was further tiered - to be honest, I'd be glad of that - I wouldn't touch any of them with a barge pole - at least one of which because of their ineptitude, one because of their reputation for ruthless contractor transition from boutique agencies - shafting them in the process, and the other, because I've never heard of them. At least I know with Capita I'll get someone who half knows what they're doing, and doesn't have the business nouse to try and shaft me See - even agents hate agents....

I don't demand much on this board. Quite simply a little respect. You don't have to agree with my views - and you don't have to like what I have to say, I am on here to both continue my understanding of what contractors dislike about agents (in order to try and be a polar opposite) and also to add thoughts and suggestions as to where you can drive effectiveness in your job hunt.

Therefore - I do NOT expect to have names like the above used.

More than that though - have you never heard of "never closing a door behind you"? Its a simple theory - you don't upset anyone to the point that they would never work with you again. Your simple lack of respect, means that if I ever find out who you are, you won't be working on any project where I am responsible for the recruitment side (and believe me - there are a number).

Now you may wish consider whether that comment was actually necessary (did it really achieve anything?), and whether (especially in the current climate) you can actually afford to make enemies with someone who could potentially control your livelihood in the future?

          Feel clever now?

There is only response I can make to that. And it would get me banned. But it does not stop you being what I think you are.

Say it. 10 posts would be an outstanding point for you to be banned.

Go back to your bench, and be sure not to get any splinters - I wouldn't want you to get hurt when you finally work out how to get your head out of your arse....

So I do a little more digging around on Prince2 of darkness, to find 9 posts, 4 or 5 of which have been removed, and the majority of the rest, suggest that actually the bloke has the world to blame, and clearly has no idea about the contracting world....... Ever wonder why you've bothered aggrevating your RSI for people?

I did like this joke about the manager wearing a bench top though - one can only hope someone has weakened the bench so that he ends up falling through it.

You are posting on the wrong board then.

We all rip each other apart.

I know that - I don't mind being chewed for being wrong. I don't mind being chewed for being an agent to some degree (although I'm sometimes tempted to reveal who I am, who I work for, etc etc to show you where I differ from the usual agent dross - alas I quickly remember thats not what I joined up for). The point where I draw the line is where all respect is lost - and that's not really a forum thing - it's the way I expect to be treated as a human being.

Well - you did get the client wrong

PoD seems to have had a number of posts deleted overnight, though... (even the rather mundane "I have been wearing glasses since I was at school, so I have never been allowed to claim for specs or eye tests." has gone) so the post count is a little misleading. That said, the posts in this thread seemed unnecessary to say the least.
