Callers to the number pay a higher call rate than normal.Originally posted by Durbs View PostThat voicemail to .wav thing sounds really handy, i could do with that - whats the catch??? Why is it free?
So, redirect it to your mobile and keep the agent chatting and they pay through the nose while mostly talking out their arse

So let me get this right... you redirect the call to your mobile (by using the service) at no cost to you, and the person calling you is paying for the call? If so, I might go for it.Originally posted by Mr.Whippy View PostCallers to the number pay a higher call rate than normal.

If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.Comment

Just get a new PAYG SIM and put it in an old phone when my CV goes in to circulation and put that on the CV. Once secured a decent length contract just toss the SIM
Email just set up a mail box on my business domain just for responses which also gets deleted at same time as SIM (giving agent who secured contract a permanent email beforehand)
Keeps down the fishing calls, especially those really annoying ones what come from agencies that that you sent one CV to X amount of years agoComment

That maybe so, but adding an 084x or 087x number to your CV may give some avenues that wouldn't exist otherwise.Originally posted by Jeebo72 View Post+1 ... some people seem to be going to some amount of effort. 1 email, 1 phone no!
I know the philosophy of if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but there is also the sentiment, that if something is worth improving, then do it.If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.Comment

I'm interested, what avenues? I've got an 084 no for my business, but my mobiles on the cv and that's the way it will stay. What am I missing out on?Originally posted by pmeswani View PostThat maybe so, but adding an 084x or 087x number to your CV may give some avenues that wouldn't exist otherwise.

I use www.oxonera.com for free fax service (comes through as an email), but they also offer free 0870 numbers (as with those suggested above) which divert any UK numbers at no cost to you."take me to your leader"Comment

It also means I can have my phone on when on client sites without being called by agents who've picked up my CV from job sites.Comment

Some agencies are reluctant to call mobile numbers because of the cost. By having an 084 or 087, it gives the impression that the call is cheaper. I've noticed this by the number of emails I get asking me to call the agency. Also, if you want to do some one off consultancy work, you can put the 084/087 number on your website and redirect it to your mobile / phone number without disclosing your mobile number.Originally posted by Jeebo72 View PostI'm interested, what avenues?
