    CV Contact Details

How many of you use alternative contact details on your CV?

i.e. Use a different email address and/or mobile number to your 'regular' ones just for your CV.

Those of you that do, do you have any practical issues with this approach?

    Huh? Different email names?

    I have different DOMAIN names!

I have a domain for Mrs C & I to use ( <name>@MrAndMrsC.co.uk ) for social purposes; all commercial LtdCo stuff goes to one of the many <address>@MyLtd.Co.uk addresses.

Then there are the different domain names I use for other purposes, some disposable, some owned.
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

I have 2 mobile phones and loads of email addresses for various things.

So yes I do have a different mobile phone for business and a different email address.

I have 2 phones: one business and one personal. I have then set up various emails on MyCo domain. The one on my CV is enquiries@MyCo domain.

        No major problems experienced.

I have one of those free personal 07xxxx numbers. I've set it up to redirect all calls straight to voicemail, which then emails me a .wav file of the message. So I can keep my regular number off my CV and screen all the calls.

I ditch the number when I'm not looking for work and then get new one when I am looking.

With the emails it just means it's easier to deal with them and search them.

                    or http://www.yac.com

Both provide voicemail to .wav email... You can just use it to redirect to your normal mobile/landline, I just prefer to avoid talking to agents and having them knowing my real number unless absolutely necessary
