The agency I worked through 9 months ago still owe me about £3k and even though I've had solicitors writing threatening letters to them over the last few months they've stopped replying. Solicitor said it looks like they are going under and I won't get paid. What can I do?

PCGPlus would have covered it.
Otherwise, nothing. I lost £8K last year when a direct client went bust.

Err .. it's been 9 months and you are still sending letters !?Originally posted by contractor79 View PostThe agency I worked through 9 months ago still owe me about £3k and even though I've had solicitors writing threatening letters to them over the last few months they've stopped replying.
1) LBA (you might have sent this one already)
2) http://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/ - £3K + interest + fees
3) Either they pay back or get CCJComment

Wouldn't that kind of defeat the whole "limited liability" bit of being a Ltd?Originally posted by DocP View PostDid you not have a clause stating that the debt is guaranteed by the directors ?
Do you insist on that in your contracts?Comment

CCJ is important, will make it harder for the director(s) to get loans in the future .. gives you some sense of satisfactionOriginally posted by TheFaQQer View PostFTFY.Comment
