I don't envy you, I went through this and having realised that before me they would have to pay HMRC, companies house and a mortgage, I'd given up a long time ago.
One of the many reason contractor rate must be higher than permies = more risk, more reward.

Err .. it's been 9 months and you are still sending letters !?Originally posted by contractor79 View PostThe agency I worked through 9 months ago still owe me about £3k and even though I've had solicitors writing threatening letters to them over the last few months they've stopped replying.
1) LBA (you might have sent this one already)
2) http://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/ - £3K + interest + fees
3) Either they pay back or get CCJ

PCGPlus would have covered it.
Otherwise, nothing. I lost £8K last year when a direct client went bust.

sorry to hear that - I've not come across this before myself but there is stuff you can do in your accounts - contact your accountant.

agency gone bust so may not get paid
The agency I worked through 9 months ago still owe me about £3k and even though I've had solicitors writing threatening letters to them over the last few months they've stopped replying. Solicitor said it looks like they are going under and I won't get paid. What can I do?Tags: None
