    Irish recruitment agents

What's the deal with me getting contacted by agent in Ireland, Irish agency, for a job in England?

Are agents in England that incompetent?

I've got a agent lining me up for gig with a much better rate than the England based counterparts would have got me plus my flights paid for. A 1st for any job in England.

Probably cos there's no jobs to pimp for in Ireland and they've started getting on the action over here.

Especially since Gordon has declared that it's all hunky dory over here.

I'm sure their Icelandic compatriots will be sniffing around soon.......

Edinbura - and England is far away.

On average I'll spend £600 - £800 a month of flights to the south.

Irish recruitment companies, if based away from Dublin, do tend to have a lower cost base than English based ones - therefore can drop margins through the floor.

Another explanation, is that if the recruiter has an English and Irish presence, and your consultant is a dubliner, with a two letter first name, he's actually based in England, he just represents the irish side of the business (ie his business goes into the Ireland pot, but he works in England).

          Hope that helps
