    overtime clause in contract

The staff in my dept have been based in a bank but were outsourced by a consulting company - the consulting company lost the contract and they are in the process in-sourcing us to the bank.

They've just offered me a new contract, which is nice, except for the clause below:

"Please note the 8-9th hour is unpaid. Payment is for hours 1-8 and 9 plus"

am paid per hour and the old deal was that we claimed for any overtime over 8 hrs, so this will mean a lose of 10hrs or so a month in OT...

Is this kind of cause common? is it worth trying to push back on this?

    Thanks in advance

alternatively: if the 9th hour is unpaid, then it is unworked too.
So include your lunch hour in your timesheet
Or every 8 hours, spend one hour posting on this board, surf the web, write emails to loved ones, play games, ....
      Chico, what time is it?
