I hate these whinging bell-ends who find out that someone is currently on a better deal than them.

It's swings and roundabouts, you make the best deal you can, the market shifts someone else makes a better deal, you're stuck with yours for the duration of the contract that you've signed or your terminate it within the terms that you've agreed. It's business

Never seen anyone moaning that they've just found out someone is getting paid less than them and that just isn't fair in this perfect world.

12% is nothing, don`t get f`d off over that. It`s unprofessional anyway. Budgets will differ at various times of the year and the contract market changes. 12% is bugger all, but you can use it to your advantage at new renewel.

Who knows, being cheaper you might be more likely to stay on which during these times is worth ££££

However the new PM is being taken on at a 12% higher rate than I am on currently - I know because I have seen the approved job requisition and job ad for the role.

My contract expires at the end of Feb and all things being well I am hoping to be offered another extension. Should I sit tight and look to negotitate at renewal, or say something to my agent now (now I mean in Jan), or just accept it and do nothing ?

Just to add I am willing to call the clientco/agent bluff if they tell me to do one.
Have you considered the possibility that the other PM is being paid more than you because they are better than you?
