When I was doing my Jury Service there was a woman in the juror pool who had been a bus driver in South London. She gave it up after she was assaulted the fourth time.

So it's not paying hugely well then. If you work 50 weeks a year with overtime every week, you could get £25k for it. Fair enough, but hardly easy money.Originally posted by Gonzo View PostLast year there were adverts on the side of London buses stating that bus drivers could earn £500 per week with overtimeOriginally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

As if things were not bad enough, nice to know some companies really wanna pee you off:
developer in London being offered 120-150 a day. Somebody just kill me

Have you not been looking for long? I've seen plenty of project management roles paying the same and less in London.Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View PostAs if things were not bad enough, nice to know some companies really wanna pee you off: developer in London being offered 120-150 a day. Tip: don't take any notice of the very low-paying roles. They are from the clueless, the piss-takers and the clients who do not respect their workforce. However, do not turn your nose up at roles that are just enough to pay the bills: they may be the best roles available for a while. My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

since january of this year and things have got worse and worse. There were some good signs in November and managed to get a couple of reasonable but not quite good enough offers to leave permie world. But since then things have taken another dive, looks like recession part 2....Have you not been looking for long? Things always slow down around this time of year though. I wouldn't expect things to get going properly now until the end of Jan. Look on the bright side, at least you haven't left your permie job yet. Stick with it until the time is right.Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View Postsince january of this year and things have got worse and worse.
