    Norway Payroll Company needed!

I'm new to this forum, although a seasoned PM; worked mainly for Oil & Gas companies overseas (Russia, Kazakhstan, etc.).
Now found a job in Norway, and just need an advise of a decent payroll company I can use; I have all inclusive rate, so if I could manage to have my expenses (including very expensive rent) un-taxed would be perfect.
    Thanks in advance.

It seems there aren't many folk here in Oil and Gas (Norway = O&G?) engineering to advise you. I have looked and failed to find an engineering equivalent to CUK for contracting engineers. (I am one).

Is this the beginnings of a decent plan B?

I don't think you'll find many here who are experienced with Nordic market.

However, I wonder could you not invoice via you UK Ltd/Umbrella and try to keep in under 183 days abroad?
Ot at least do so initially and have six month to solve it?

All I know is that if you do it via Norwegian co, you will pay the usual taxes + probably the petroleum tax so it will take away quite a chunk of your income...

Never been to Norway or worked there-
Searching the internet I came up with an umbrella company called

I worked in Bergen for about 18 months - My business was based in Edinburgh, charged £ from my UK Ltd... no problem.

I was back over in the UK every other week. Used http://www.wideroe.no/english/ to fly back and forth..

            Careful Norway is addictive

Yep! That's exactly the begin of a decent plan B! Where I come from I had my day rate paid net on time and not questions asked; the agency took care of everything.
EU continent is new to me and I was told strictly by the agent that I have got to have a payroll company which pays Norway taxes and that UK Ltd company (I've got one myself) can't legally operate there; I was offered a 9 months contract.
Was advised by agent to go through offshore Cyprus accounting companies, but not very keen to do that.
I'm just look to someone who could give me something around 75% retention.

What a load of bollocks, IANAL etc but there's nothing inherently illegal in one company operating in another country.
As many here would probably suggest, it could be wise to consult someone who is qualified to give such advice...

Yes your company can operate where it wants.
You as an individual cannot work in Norway without paying Norwegian taxes.
The Norwegian Company could be fined for you working and not paying Norwegian
taxes. The Norwegian company would then try and make your agency liable for the
tax, which is why the agency won't let you use your Ltd.

Yes you can just as long as your stay does not exceed 60 days.

And remember Norway is not part of the EU...
