    The feedback that I have received from contractors working for
    Merged or acquired companies is that all projects are put on hold until after
    the merger.

    Imagine that you are on a CRM project for Orange which is due to go live in 2010. The project would then be put on hold until after the merger so
    your contract would then be terminated. ie LOSS OF Contracting work.

    After the Merger there should be a GAIN of Contracting work related to the merger.
    Maybe not you
