    Oracle ERP 200/Day

    Just got this call from a Lady(Injun, i think going by the accent) for an Oracle Applications role at the DWP for 200/day?.

    Has the market really gone to the dogs or is she just taking the piss!

    Have seen some advertised (think it was in Leeds) for as low as £150 per day.

      Apparently Tech Mahindra and the other Indian lot have subcontracted work from DWP,HP,EDS etc....

        Yep, Tech Mahindra have taken over a lot of stuff at Barclays I was doing a couple of years ago for £550 / day. They seem to be offering about £180-£250 / day for the same role. I never bother applying.

          Yeah I noticed a few Oracle roles (requesting 5+yrs too) for <£200 mark recently..

              at a different angle,iam beginning to think it's actually the agencies who are real culprit by taking advantage of the injun's willingness to work for lesser rates

                Well £200 a day is good compared to £0 a day on the bench.....

                It's fairly clear that quite a few projects are running out of money so the PM's are looking for cheaper 'creative' options - for example fixed term contracts on a modest permie salary.
