    Well £200 a day is good compared to £0 a day on the bench.....

    It's fairly clear that quite a few projects are running out of money so the PM's are looking for cheaper 'creative' options - for example fixed term contracts on a modest permie salary.

    Yep, Tech Mahindra have taken over a lot of stuff at Barclays I was doing a couple of years ago for £550 / day. They seem to be offering about £180-£250 / day for the same role. I never bother applying.

    Just got this call from a Lady(Injun, i think going by the accent) for an Oracle Applications role at the DWP for 200/day?.

    Has the market really gone to the dogs or is she just taking the piss!
