    To the agents out there

During a downturn why not hire unemployed IT workers as recruitment agents doing some backend stuff like CV sieving? That way, you'd get some up to date input in to the needs of the industry and the IT workers will get an insight in to the challenges being faced in recruitment.

IT workers would not be thick skined enough to deal with the rejections from clients and candidates

Everyone starts their recruitment career with morals, its when they get turned over by their first candidate saying they are starting a job on Monday, then they blowout last minute for the job paying more money becuase of that late offer from the client who they thought was not never going to come.
