Just wondering if any has taken the CFA exams? I am currently doing Business Analyst type work but thinking about doing this. Once completed would this lead me to BA type work in the finance space or even change career path if I wanted to down the line?

Financial Analysts aren't the same as Business Analysts - CFA qualifications look grand in the Finance Industry, but other sectors wouldn't know what the letters stood for, let alone know if you could cross over to the BA world.
If you want to be a BA outside of Finance and want a certificate you're going to need to hold something that people recognise, like ISEB certs....
Staying inside Finance though, yes it's a good cert for a cross-over, but you're going to need a strong Finance background/degree/head for figures and stats...."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
