    Space on the bench available

Nice view, good neighbours (well, mostly), available until Autumn. Then I'll want it back for a rest ..................

A good week; 2 interviews, 1 offer (so far). So it's back into the work groove for me.

After 4 months otb and only 1 interview up til now, this is a definite improvement! Hang on in there everyone; green shoots on the way, it's only a matter of time

      Well done.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

      I preferred version 1!

          Congratulations!
          How does the rate compare?
-A good as you are used to?
          -Lower?
          -Much lower?

                Thanks all!

Rates both lower; one about 10%, t'other a bit more.

But more than enough to cover expenses and carpet the bottom of the warchest!

I don't expect to command top rates in this financial climate but a few more months of green shoots and we may see them start to rise

Far more likely, if green shoots they turn out to be, that a certain Scottish person and his chancellor are going to urinate on them.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus
