agree. I think it's about time we heard some better news from the economy. I'm bored of listening to SkyNews every morning and reports on the latest round of job cuts / redundancies. On another note, contractors that work for next to nothing do themselves and others no favours at all. Agents and agencies love talking your rate down because by doing so they’re probably increasing their own margin. Stay firm, stick to your guns and remember how great you are.

....and try to ignore the people who delight in wallowing in doom and gloom in these forums. Most of them haven't the first clue what they are talking about, but simply have nothing better to do.

The agency surley? Client co says "we require proj manager with between 5 and 8 years experience", in this market, thats exactly the cvs they will get (I would think). Especially if a role is out with multiple agents.

Thats certainly what I would do. If you arent ticking all the boxes, you arent getting put forward to the client. Agents = simples.

I always tweak the cv to exactly fit the job spec whenever possible (its a exercise in sales, not truth telling).
