    The other side of fishing

Just got an email addressed to me as if I were an employee of ClientCo asking if I had any contract vaccancies.

    Hi
I hope you can help me or point me in the right direction? I understand that ClientCo are currently implementing Microsoft SharePoint and currently have a 7mth contract assignment based in ClientCo Home Town for a SharePoint Architect with Workflow experience and as SharePoint experts I wanted to see if we can assist you with this requirement.

As a specialist SharePoint recruitment consultancy, we are the leading supplier of SharePoint personnel in Europe. We are the only agency in who focus exclusively on SharePoint. We cover all levels of seniority, both on contract and permanent assignments, and pride ourselves on providing quality resource quickly and efficiently. We are preferred suppliers to many SharePoint consultancies and end clients throughout Europe and I am more than happy to provide you with references from clients that we have existing relationships with. We can cover all stages of any implementation from Analysis, Design, Deployment, Development, Training and support utilising all SharePoint related technologies. As we solely focus on SharePoint we know our marketplace extremely well and have the largest database of SharePoint professionals who are heavily involved in the largest and most complex MOSS 2007 projects. Our aim is to successfully conclude all contract vacancies within 24 hours and permanent vacancies within 14 days.

I look forward to hearing from you.

And ID for all his prospective candidates and their references. It's 'company policy'.

What about his Birth and Marriage Certificates? May need to check the Death Certificate just in case the agent is not real.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

            Seriously - Yes.

I've just supplied the mobile numbers of 6 senior referee's for a client I want to work with following a similar request.

If he can't do it, tell him to do one, and put him against your blacklisted agencies list for future reference......

If an agent is asking you for references, there is NO reason why they shouldn't be providing referee's for their own services...... well obviously unless they're rubbish
