I've seen one of the other posters on here use very similar kiddy English (fone instead of phone) so it's likely that this is a low grade sockpuppet created by a moron.

I admit I don't understand the sockpuppet/troll mentality or the use of kiddy/l33tsp34k/txtsp34k English.

Absolutely - I couldn't agree more. I was beginning to think that I was the only one that thought that!

....and the childish "naah naah you've made a spelling mistake. I'm telling." rubbish of course.

This has to be the thread of the day - it certainly made me chuckle out loud. I know from personal experience how disheartening it can be, waiting for the next contract, no matter how diligent and experienced you may be. But a "blacklist"? Ssshhh, just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get you....

Can you imagine a blacklist, we would all be on it.

Reason: sockpuppeting on web all day.

Best reason I've heard to counter the blacklist myth. I'd be at the top of the list too*

*and if you argue with me I'll have you blacklisted...

                  Twenty emails? TWENTY?! Luxury!

I dunno about the rest of you guys but I go completely ballistic when I need more work and I'm a lot more focussed than this guy seems to be, as well.

I don't think that there is a "formal" blacklist for agencies because 1) they're in competition with each other - why help the enemy? And 2) One can't keep such a nefarious secret for long - especially from us. No, I expect that friends/former colleagues may keep in touch and refer to some rogue traders via anecdotes - that's all.

Actually, I was looking for a formal blacklist of agencies who engage in questionable practices. In my case it's an agency who has twice offered me a job, then rescinded it. My view is that they are helping the client cover their bottoms while they try to sort out the vacancy internally.

Now that I think about it, it would be nearly impossible to police such a blacklist from those who have an axe to grind etc, etc.

                  Silly me!

                      Hi,

First time poster. I am not sure an agency would do this as it would waste their time and not be in their interest at all to help a client to fill their role internally...
