No references - no job now...

"Before we initiate any conversation about the role (and in an attempt to limit suitable candidates) I need you to complete a registration form here at Ashton Consulting (if you have already filled this 2009 version, please send your original copy through).
Every part of the form should be filled including the references (this will not be contacted until at the point of CV Submittal to my client and our not used as a business development tool)
Failure to complete the registration will mean I will not consider your CV."

    Do you believe them?

I'm seriously considering getting a PAYG mobile and putting that down on this kind of request. Then when they ring chasing leads you can call them lying ***** to their face

Cant you just use fellow contractors at last clientco? The last guy that left here asked if he could use me as refereee as he was struggling. I got a few requests through via email and replied with a glowing reference and they were happy with that as they just saw a mail originating from clientco. I was careful to word it so it couldnt be seen as 'speaking on behalf of clientco'.

It just means they don't have any contracts or jobs.

Delete the email and move on.

How about a reference providing service as a plan B?

To be honest Nick, I don't think you have. Because if you have, you will know that Sausage Surprise has posted on the thread in the past.

Some people start new threads for a reason, and there is no need to tell people, especially those who have been around for a while, how to suck eggs.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

mmmmmmm...i see that you obviously got out of bed on the wrong side today...sorry sausage suprise..if you read my last post in the thread mentioned you will see that there is no need for any agent to take references on you unless they are specifically submitting you to a client....hope this helps.
