Not some numpty who thinks they know best and then rip you off.
I agree with that - from what I understand of the process, I'm just going to get some marketing person on the phone sounding all up beat, asking me loads of questions. I'll be providing all the details they would use anyway - so I might as well have a go myself.

I really cannot see the point of a CV writing service - they just use templates and drop your stuff into them. Just goolge free CV templates and do the work yourself, or set up your own CV writing business with them - now there's a thought. No outlay and £350 per CV.

Anyhow my CV is mostly bullet points with loads of keywords to make it very, very easy for the pimps, most of whom only achieved a grade C in GCSE English (and lets not mention geography).

      My headings include:
Overview/Acheivements - One small paragraph and bulletpoints.
      Key Skills - Bullet points
      Experience - Bullet pointing responsibilities
      Education
      Professional Associations - Optional
      Publications - Obviously optional

By keeping things simple and to the point, I've never had any problems.

I used a CV wruiting service, cost me about £200. in summary it was a fancy layout and big words. not an entire waste of money, but they guy wrote what he thought was relevant not what i wanted to convey.

Obviously a definition of "not an entire waste of money" with which I am not familiar.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

So that's where I've been going wrong....Now, how the **** can I shoehorn Chlorofluorocarbonation into my CV?
I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt, not that fancy store-bought dirt... I can't compete with that stuff.

The important thing is a summary at the top of your profile (CV's are for sissies). That basically describes what you are, and key highlights about your qualifications, knowledge and experience. This would be tailored to the job.

Then a your project history, with most recent projects described first and in more detail, with one line descriptions for old or irrelevant projects.

Then on page three (your profile shouldn't be longer than three pages) you should list the bullets of specific programming languages, products with which you have experienceand educational qualifications etc.
