Not another person asking the contract community to perform the role of the DVA, I hear you ask...as much as I'd like to work in the Nuclear Industry, I have a spent conviction, sadly not for petty shopliflting, but for a (mildly serious) sex offence (no prison, just probation, 7 years ago)...although the MoD might be pursuaded that I pose no threat of reoffending, I sense it's the threat of bribery that will trouble them the most...can anyone give me some words of wisdom please

In the dim and distant pass I was DV cleared. I had spent convictions from my time as a young tearaway.
I hadn't coughed to a couple of things on my application form, but brought them up at the interview. Didn't stop me geeting a clearance.
If you don't apply you will never know.Comment

The basic rule is that if you don't declare something legal or financial and they find out then your Clearance is pretty much automatically rejected as you've proven yourself to be untrustworthy.
Items that are available on the Police, Security Services, Court and Credit Ref Agency records will be found out so you're a fool if you don't declare them up front.Comment

Surely this is a troll no?"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny. "
