Advice please - Contract required? (As services company)

Scenario, two man band both working on existing individual contracts like any other contractor would with Company A. In addition, TSA with another company(B) providing plenty of evening and weekend WFH cash.

Also have work through another company(C), again direct which amounts to an odd day here and there. They raise a Purchase Order for the days required at the daily rate we have negotiated, we fulfill and invoice to be paid 30 days later. We have no contract as such with this company.

They have asked us for a few weeks effort in the New Year, that neither of us can fulfill as 1. we are working 60 hours+ a week + travel, and 2. don't want to take long period of leave from contrct A as it could go 2 years and in this climate want to keep it.

So we have engaged a contractor we have previously worked with, loosely called a mate to do contract with C. They will raise a PO for us, what's the general consensus about having a contract with Company C and/or Contractor A??

Does the PCG have something that may cover us?
