At the moment the permies in our office also provide on-call support. Frequently coming in weekends and out of normal hours.
I expressed an interest in taking part. Not with financial gain in-mind (honest) but more to try and improve the atmosphere in the office as this contributes to a "them and us" situation.
Manager came back to me today and asked me if I am still keen. I am, but how should I bill them. Normal rate/double time/time off in lieu. What is the consensus here?
