Have seen some a few generic PM roles (and for multiple PMs) posted onto Joberve in the last week - are these genuine adaverts or agents looking to bring in CVs ?
Thoughts ?

I'm currently SAP PM'ing and am getting plenty of calls from respectable agencies and present client co. want me to stay on after current implementation so the immediate future looks rosy.
On the other hand though, it means I won't be able to take the summer off again.Sval-Baard Consulting Ltd - we're not satisfied until you're not satisfied.

It's picking up somewhat, but as well as all the valid gig calls I'm getting, I'm also getting fishing calls, asking me who I'm interviewing with.
The call is normally under the guise that they have a valid role and will send the "spec" (which doesn't exist) to me.Comment

Admittedly experienced SAP PM's aren't exactly common as for obvious reasons it's not an easy market to break into.Originally posted by Svalbaard View PostI'm currently SAP PM'ing and am getting plenty of calls from respectable agencies and present client co. want me to stay on after current implementation so the immediate future looks rosy.

Like Norrahe I've been getting a fair few more calls recently, some real, some vapourware.Comment

Now that's a stress a lot of us would like at the moment!Comment

I've found a lot of roles drying up. There have been instances of waiting on interview dates or having had interviews and the project has been binned.Originally posted by TykeMerc View PostAdmittedly experienced SAP PM's aren't exactly common as for obvious reasons it's not an easy market to break into.

I think some PMs are getting excited and putting the specs out there and then the budget is getting canned.Comment

I've been looking full-time since before Christmas - not a good time to be canned due to projects being cut.
Anyway, my experience is that the last week has been quiet on the job boards. As with norrahe, I am waiting on interview dates - companies don't seem to be in a rush to kick off big spend projects. 2 out of 4 I'm waiting on are perm jobs where agents came to me.
Maybe its naive, but I wonder if its because permanent jobs bring agents big cash up front, whereas contracts drip-feed - if the agency is in difficulty they might end up going for the big win. Shoot me down if you wish - its only a theory."take me to your leader"Comment

You can't come on here and express your opinions moderately like that and expect to get away with it!
