About to finish a contract at MS, very good place to work. Lots of Smart people and looks good on CV

But traveling to Canary Wharf is a crusher in Jubilee line

I may be heading there for interview --- if selected. What to be prepared for ? As Yanks I guess they practice CIFS (3 hours interrogation style interview) and TORC - Threat of Reference Check.

I know someone who went To MS at Canary Wharfe about 4 weeks ago. They still havent made a decision whether to offer the role or not.

Seem very indecisive tbh.

Can you just confirm:

1) Is it 9-6 or much longer hours?
2) Are rates top notch? Can you expect to get 650/700 or is that steep
3) Is there real pressure to deliver
4) Do they have a habit of keeping contractors on for a great deal of time or was it a shortish contract?

Oh give it a rest. For heavens' sake you don't even ask about a particular area of work, one would imagine it varies quite a bit.

Bizarrely, I got called today about a gig at MS, the same day this thread came back up. The agent even mentioned it was with MS without being asked, maybe they're sole supplier or something.
However given it sounds like the same project I get contacted about every few months, I wonder if it's a nightmare.
Also sounds very similar to a project at HSBC I also have been contacted about over the last year by a few agents.

What is it, are Flex people really that rare? It's the only skill that agents ever contact me about, despite far more expereince with other stuff.

MS are in lots of agents, every agent that rings me up has jobs from them. they take ages to make a decision i was told, 6-7 weeks from first interview to final decision is not unusual.

i think 650-700 would be pretty out there...would want to be front office, and you'd want to be a perfect fit for the role (ie tick all the skills/experience requirements). given the questions you're asking, i'd guess you haven't worked in front office before, so i would say, no :P.

Eek, it pains to say it but this might be one case where Joey is right (stopped clock...). Spoke to agent about two gigs at MS/HSBC going up to £700/750 (allegedly). It is still in London though
