How to say no or just take it

    Hey guys,

Have a small issue with current clientCo.

I took on a 1 month contract beginning of sept, was perfect as was hoping for an old client to ask me back in october which never happened but anyhoo.

Current clientCo asked me to stay an extra 2 weeks...then another 3weeks.

Next week is my final week...although I'm kinda expecting them to ask me to stay for another week or 2 again... which is fine in theory...since I have no other role lined up...BUT the closer it gets to xmas the less likely ill get another gig.

so am unsure if i should just take it on a week by week rolling until they get bored of me (think it probably wont go past xmas) or to say to them that I need to have minimum 1/2 month extension.

Opinions? would it be weird to tell them that I need a minimum 1/2 month extension, how could I go about this without sounding rude?

    Cheers ears!

I'd use the week on week contracts as a good way to find another gig without having a notice period to give.

WHS. Perfect opportunity to find another gig at short notice. Which I had that at the moment

WHS. Just keep looking for work, and jump ship if you find it. After all, what is there to stop them saying OK, here's your 2 month extension (just to shut you up), and letting you go after a week?

Alternativly, why not talk to your manager there and ask how long they realistically need you for?

sounds like you don't have a problem.
You're effectively on the bench now, looking for a new contract,
only you're in work and getting paid for it.
          Sweet!

            Valid point.

Just go with the rolling contract while you actively look for a new gig.
