Is it worth starting up a thread to name in people's experiences who the good agencies are they they have dealt with and who the ones are to steer clear of ? People don't have to give reasons if they don't want to, just the name of the agencey.

Good Agencies / Bad Agencies

Agencies are completely different beasts when you work for them, some are pretty professional contacting you, applying then treat you like crap when you get the job.
Search are in there, whole time in contract was a barny. Client asking for Contract to be rewritten half way through.
Never worked for Huxley but they bust my balls, caught them passing out my CV without my permission a few times and stuck my CV on the web and never told me, got a call from a 'Contractor Accountancy' company yesterday who had been given my details from.... wait for it.... huxley.
Worked quiet a bit for Computer People and they have been pretty good up till now but I recon they are probably useless and I have not yet found the proof. I have severe doubts about there contracts with regard to IR35. -
So far (touch wood) every agency I've had a contract with have been pretty good and professional. I know that may go against the grain a little but I have yet to encounter some of the idiots that get mentioned on here.
Maybe I've been lucky so far....Comment

This will not work for legal and practical reasons.
Legal: Agencies could sue - it's bad enough with valid reasons; no reason could be seen as just being malicious.
Practical: 1 rubbish agent could give an otherwise good agency a bad name....
I like CUK and can see no good reason for getting it shut down (apart from the fact that said rubbish agents read these boards and are irritated by our tips and hints for standing up to them...)
You're just gonna have to do your own research."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
