    Itecs

please let me know your opinion in choosing ITECS as management company to run payroll and dividends for belgium. I got a Belgium contract on SAP and looking for better management company.

Little confusing with dividends, any of you have an idea on this???

I'd be interested in this too guys, especially recent/current experiences. I've seen some negative posts but these go back to earlier in the year and I'm hoping they were temporary issues following the takeover... For my situation I think Itecs would be the best solution but I'm hesitant to use a company others have had bad experiences with so any info appreciated.

By the way does anyone have more details on what the 183 days means, eg. are they consecutive days, total days including any spent in UK (so inclusive of weekends and time off), billing days (so would they include days spent working on the Euro project but worked in the UK) etc. If anyone has more information on this it would be appreciated because I'd far rather just use my Ltd and try to work out how to spend no more than 183 days in Belgium.

You can have gaps between 183 days and I believe that you can't exceed this quota, within an 18 month period, approximately. Whether weekends away count is a moot point, there are countries where weekends don't.
      I'm alright Jack

        FFS.
Do a search on the threads. There is a big discussion about ITECS and alternatives.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

183 days. Would you like me to spoon feed you and wipe your arse too?
The info is on the GB tax web site and also mentioned lots on here.

Belgium uses 183 days as present in Belgium, not consecutive from day 1. I cant remember if they count part days as in or out, maybe you could do some of your own research.

Be careful if you use your UK Ltd as Belgium has rules on the seat of control (look it up) that could make your company resident from day 1.

            1) The whole point of that part of my post about Itecs was that I had read the threads and because they were from some time ago wanted to find out if anyone had any more recent experiences. Why is it that people think once something is posted once it can never be posted again? Different people have different experiences over time, I don't see what's so wrong with trying to get an up to date idea on peoples thoughts about something.

            2) No thanks.

            3) I have done research, I know the UK rules, just not sure on the Belgian ones. If someone on here knew off hand it would save a lot of time searching, if you thought it was a stupid question just ignore it.

            4) Yes I know about seat of control, it was the reason for asking about 183 days (as I thought I had made clear in my post).

i'm sure if you searched you would find me stating that i would rather roll in a bath of badger poo every morning than use itecs.

              or something like that anyway.

it was 04/05/06 based experience so getting on a bit now and you are quite right to ask for fresher updates. they might be fine and dandy now.

still, given the choice i'd prefer to drink fresh vomit.

hah hah! I remember watching someone do that on I'll do anything to get on TV on The Word years ago, drinking a pint of salt water, sick into a glass, drink it on down, lovely.

Thanks for the comments, have some tough choices coming up...

nah - if you have to do it - do it. just be extra, extra vigilant with the payroll and tax. follow everything up - double check their accountancy dealings. get in touch with the belgian tax authorities upfront and confirm everything.

it is easy to sign on the dotted line, just check that payments cross over within the promised schedule and not worry about the little details but with me those details turned into the
                  swamp thing
and came out of the darkness to wreak destruction to my financial forecast.
